Note that these entries would be doubled to 1,000 if you have direct deposit set up.

For example, participants referring friends to earn bonus entries (5,000 per referral) can also earn $25 per referral, as part of the Wealthsimple referral offer (see terms here).
In addition, participants may earn a 1% match on accounts they transfer if they enroll in the One Percent Match promotion (see terms here), in addition to earning one bonus entry for every dollar added.
Who can enter?
This contest is open to legal residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence.
Wealthsimple employees, representatives, affiliates, independent contractors engaged by Wealthsimple to promote the contest and their immediate family members or individuals who live in the same household are not eligible to participate in the contest.
Can Quebec residents enter the giveaway?
Yes, residents of Quebec are eligible to participate.
Do I need to be a Wealthsimple client to qualify for this giveaway?
No. New or existing Wealthsimple clients with an open chequing account holding a minimum balance of $1 can enter in all the ways set out above. The chequing account is free, has no account balance minimum, and can earn up to 2.25% interest.
Alternatively, the giveaway can be entered via the no purchase necessary method. See terms for full details.
What type of chequing account do I need to open?
Participants need a funded chequing account (min $1). All available Wealthsimple chequing accounts, including individual, joint, or business chequing accounts are eligible. Wealthsimple chequing accounts are free, have no account minimums, and can earn up to 2.25% interest.
Do I need to pay anything to enter?
No. There’s no cost to enter, and no purchase is required. Once you’ve entered, you can earn bonus entries either by funding your account with your own funds, referring friends, watching the Wealthsimple Presents livestream or through the no-purchase-necessary essay method. Please see official rules for details.
How many entries can I earn for the giveaway?
Participants can earn up to 100,000 entries per Monthly Millionaire giveaway period.
How do I confirm that I’ve entered? How can I see my entries?
Open the Wealthsimple app, tap the 🎁 in the top right corner, and you’ll see your current offers and your registration status. You can also track your entries on the web when you’re logged into your account.
When you enter, you’ll also receive an email to the email address associated with your Wealthsimple profile and/or a card in the Reward Centre confirming your participation in Monthly Millionaire.
Note that your entry tracker may take up to 72 hours to appear in the app, and that initiated account transfers, deposits and referrals will only appear once they are completed.
Net Deposit Entries
What if I made a deposit or account transfer before I registered?
If the activity was fully completed on or after May 28, 2026, it will automatically count toward your entries once you register, even if it happened prior to your registration date. Any activity completed before May 28 is not eligible for this giveaway.
For example, if you made a deposit that was completed on June 4th but only registered on June 10th, that deposit will automatically count toward your total entries after you enroll.
However, if your deposit was completed on May 20th, it will not be eligible, as it predates the contest's full entry window, which begins on May 28th. Please note that no exceptions can be made.
What if I made a referral before I registered?
Any referrals completed between May 28th, 2026 and June 24th will count towards your total entries, even if it was completed prior to your enrollment.
To be considered a completed referral, referees must be a new Wealthsimple client, fund their account(s) with a minimum $100 and join using your referral link or referral code. For example, if a referral is successfully completed on June 1st but you only registered on June 13th, that referral will automatically count toward your total entries after you enroll.
Note that any referral completed prior to May 28th or after June 24th will not be eligible for entries, and no exceptions can be made.
Do my pending transfers qualify for entries?
No. Only account transfers and deposits that have fully completed by June 24, 2026 11:59 PM ET will qualify for entries during this monthly contest period. Transfers and deposits that land after June 24th will count toward the July Monthly Millionaire giveaway, so long as they are completed during the corresponding entry period and you are registered for the contest.
I made a deposit - why can't I see the full number of entries I expect to receive?
Please allow up to 72 hours for funds to settle and entries to adjust. Likely explanations include:
- The deposit is not fully complete. While funds from deposits are generally instantly available, large deposits may have a portion that is instantly available and a portion that will take a few days to complete. The full entry amount will be updated when the funds fully settle.
- Your net funding amount is lower than your deposit amount. If a withdrawal was made, it’s possible that your net funding (qualifying deposits minus withdrawals) is lower than your deposit amount.
- Excluded withdrawal types take up to 24 hours to adjust. While payments from the chequing account (PADs, bill payments, spending with the pre-paid card, or credit card payments) as well as margin debit balance withdrawals or borrowing from a portfolio line of credit do not count as withdrawals, it may take 24 hours for those transactions to be excluded and the entry adjustments to be made.
Which deposit types count for this giveaway?
Most deposit and account transfers will be eligible for entries, including:
-
Deposits and transfers from outside of Wealthsimple, including:
- Direct deposits
- Linked external bank account transfers
- Wire or EFT transfers
- Linked Visa or Mastercard debit card deposits
- Interac e-Transfer® and peer-to-peer payments received into the participant’s account(s)
- Physical cash deposits
- Institutional Investment account transfers such as TFSAs, RRSPs, or non-registered investment accounts received from an institution outside of Wealthsimple
Moving funds from your Wealthsimple chequing account to a Wealthsimple investment account or between Wealthsimple accounts does not count towards eligible deposits or transfers.
Please note: If we suspect fraudulent transfers - such as rapid transfers in and out or attempts to game the system - we reserve the right to remove you from the giveaway and/or close your Wealthsimple account.
How are net deposits calculated?
We admit that "net deposit" sounds complicated, but we made the math pretty simple:
Add: All eligible deposits and institutional account transfers that are completed between May 28 and June 24, 2026.
Subtract: Any withdrawals or transfers out made during that time period.
Your entry tally will be visible in the Wealthsimple app and updated there once all transfers and deposits have settled.
What counts as deposits:
- Institutional account transfers (e.g., moving an existing account such as a TFSA, RRSP, or non-registered account to Wealthsimple)
-
Deposits and transfers from outside of Wealthsimple, including:
- Direct deposits
- Linked external bank account transfers
- Wire or EFT transfers
- Linked Visa or Mastercard debit card
- Interac e-Transfer® and peer-to-peer payments received into the participant’s account(s)
- Physical cash deposits
What counts as institutional account transfers:
- RRSP
- Spousal RRSP
- LIRA
- TFSA
- Non-registered
- Crypto
- FHSA
- RESP
- RRIF
- LIF
- Corporate/Business accounts
What counts as withdrawals:
- account transfers out (e.g., moving an account from Wealthsimple to another institution)
- Cash withdrawals (e.g., sending money to another financial institution)
- E-transfers or peer-to-peer money payments leaving the participant’s account(s)
Note that spending with the prepaid mastercard, Wealthsimple Credit Card payments, bill payments and PADs, as well as margin debit balance withdrawals or borrowing from a portfolio line of credit will not count against the participants total entries, but may take up to 24 hours to adjust.
Make sure to read this last part, too:
- Withdrawals or transfers out made during the contest period will reduce your net deposit funding unless they're offset by new deposits of equal or greater value.
- Because $1 net funding = 1 entry, any reduction in net deposit funding will also reduce your total entries. For example, if you make a $1000 eligible deposit and withdraw $100, you'll receive 900 entries.
Which withdrawals won't affect my net deposits or deduct my entries?
The following is a full list of transactions that will not count as a withdrawal for the purpose of calculating Contest entries:
- Transfers between an Entrant's own Wealthsimple account(s)
- Payments with your Prepaid Mastercard
- Payments to a Wealthsimple credit card, bill payments, or Pre-authorized Debits (PADs)
- Margin debit balance withdrawals or borrowing from a portfolio line of credit account
Note that participants may see a temporary decrease in entries following these transactions, but they will adjust back to the full amount within 24 hours.
Will bill payments, prepaid Mastercard purchases, or payments to my Wealthsimple Visa card affect my entries?
No, these transactions will not affect your entries.
How do you calculate how many entries I have from deposits?
You’ll earn 1 entry for every $1 in qualifying net funding. For example, if you made a $1000 deposit, and later withdrew $200, the net funding is $800 and you will receive 800 entries.
Is there a hold period on the deposits I make for this giveaway?
No, there is no hold period.
In order to maintain your entries gained from funding your account, you must keep those funds in your account until the end of the full entry period (June 24th at 11:59:59PM ET). In other words, your funds aren’t locked in — you can withdraw them at any time — but withdrawals will reduce your eligible entries from deposits.
Do institutional account transfers need to be completed within the contest period between May 28 and June 24?
Yes — to count toward eligible entries, all transfers must be completed within this window. If it completes after June 24, it will count in the Monthly Millionaire giveaway corresponding to when the transfer is completed.
Does withdrawing and then re-depositing funds count?
No. Withdrawing money from your Wealthsimple account and then re-depositing won’t increase your entries, because when you do that, your net funding amount isn’t actually changing.
If you make any large withdrawals from your Wealthsimple account immediately before the start date of the giveaway, they may be included against the calculation of your total entries.
If we suspect an attempt to game the system or fraudulent behaviour, we reserve the right to remove you from the giveaway and/or close your Wealthsimple account.
What if I make a deposit into or withdrawal from a joint account?
Any deposits or withdrawals made in a joint account will affect the entry count for both account holders equally.
Do I have to pay transfer fees for account transfers?
If it were up to us, no — Wealthsimple doesn't charge any fees to transfer assets. However, other places might. Here's the good news: if your account transfer meets the threshold for reimbursement, any transfer fees will be automatically refunded within 1–2 business days after the transfer is completed. More details can be found here.
What happens to my entries if I withdraw on margin or my portfolio line of credit (PLOC)?
Margin and PLOC withdrawals allow you to access cash without selling your investments, so they won't count against your withdrawal limit or reduce your entries. Note that interest on borrowed funds still applies as usual.
If you believe a margin withdrawal was incorrectly penalized, please reach out to our support team.
Referral Entries
What counts as a successful referral for the giveaway?
To earn 5,000 entries for a referral:
- Share your referral code and link with a friend (see below for instructions).
- Your friend must be a brand-new Wealthsimple client who has never funded a Wealthsimple account.
- They must sign up using your referral link or code
- They must fund their Wealthsimple account(s) with at least $100 during the contest window, May 28 to June 24, 2026
Note that the referee needs to fund their account within 30 days of using your link or code, or the referral will expire. However, referral codes can be re-applied, which will re-start the 30 days timer to fund.
Your entries will be granted within 24 hours of a successfully completed referral.
Is there a limit to referral entries?
Nope! You can refer as many people as you like. Each successful referral earns 5,000 entries. However, your total number of entries (from referrals and all other methods) is capped at 100,000 entries.
How does my friend apply my referral code?
They can do it in one of two ways:
- Sign up for a Wealthsimple account directly using your referral link, or
- By manually entering your referral code in the Wealthsimple app after signing up
Where can I find my referral link and code?
In the app
- Sign into the Wealthsimple app on your mobile device
- Tap on the gift icon at the top of the screen
- Navigate to the "Referrals" tab
- Share your referral link with contacts or on socials
On desktop
- Sign into my.wealthsimple.com
- Tap on the gift icon at the bottom left of the screen
- Copy your referral link and share with friends or on socials
Does this stack with other referral bonuses?
Yes! In addition to getting 5,000 entries for each referral, referrers may also be eligible for a referral bonus of $25 per referral. See full details here.
Direct Deposit Multiplier
What type of direct deposit paycheques qualify?
To qualify, your paycheque must be deposited directly from an employer or government agency. Most payroll direct deposits from employers will be eligible.
Direct deposits are set up by providing your account number and transit details to your employer for recurring payroll deposits. We confirm eligibility using the following AFT codes: 200–207, 230, 300, 310, 311, 315, 318, 330, and 600.
Payments sent via Interac e-Transfer® or manual transfers from another bank do not qualify.
How do I get the direct deposit double multiplier?
If you receive an eligible direct deposit within the last or current calendar months, all of your entries will be doubled for that month's remaining draws.
Example:
| Date | Event | Entries |
|---|---|---|
| May 28 | You register | 500 entries |
| June 1 | You complete a $300 deposit | + 300 entries |
| June 4 | First draw | 800 entries |
| June 10 | Your first eligible direct deposit arrives | Entries doubled |
| June 11 | Second draw | 1,600 entries |
| June 18 | Third draw | 1,600 entries |
| June 25 | Fourth draw | 1,600 entries |
Once the double multiplier is applied, it stays in effect for all remaining draws that month and in subsequent months, for as long as you continue to meet the eligible monthly direct deposit requirement.
Is there a minimum direct deposit amount?
Nope! There's no minimum — just make sure your direct deposit is your paycheque and that it meets the requirements above. Most payroll direct deposits from employers will be eligible.
What if I direct deposit into a joint account where my partner is the primary account holder?
No problem! If your paycheque is direct deposited into a joint account where you're the secondary holder, you'll still qualify to get the direct deposit multiplier. In other words, if a direct deposit is set up into a joint chequing account, all account holders associated with that account will have their entries doubled.
Does the paycheque I deposit have to stay in the chequing account for a certain amount of time?
No - once your paycheque is deposited, you're free to use the funds however you like: whether that’s paying bills, making purchases, or transferring to another account. We get that it’s your money, and you will be able to move it where you need it.
Claiming Your Prize
How is the winner determined?
Winners are chosen through a random draw — the more entries you have, the better your chances of winning!
How do I claim my prize if I win?
Check the app every Thursday to find out if you’ve won. Winners will also be notified by email.
To claim your prize, you'll need to correctly answer a skill-testing question and complete a declaration form.
How many chances do I have to get the skill-testing question right?
Just one. Take your time and read the question carefully before answering, because there are no second tries. If your answer is incorrect, your prize will be forfeited.
Is there a deadline to claim my prize?
If you've won a grand prize ($25,000, $50,000, $100,000, or $1,000,000), you have 30 days total following the reveal date to claim the grand prize before it is considered forfeited and a new winner is selected.
For the other cash prizes, or if you’re lucky enough to receive some bonus entries, you have 5 days from the reveal date to claim in-app before it is considered forfeited.
When will I find out if I won?
Check the Monthly Millionaire page in the app every Thursday evening to reveal whether you have a prize to win. There is one grand prize and thousands of secondary prizes every week!
If I win, what are the tax implications?
In Canada, contest winnings are generally not considered taxable income. That said, for advice specific to your situation, we recommend consulting a tax professional.

5. ADDITIONAL ENTRIES:
There are four (4) methods to obtain additional entries into the Contest, provided that the Entrant also completes a Registration Entry method (“Additional Entry Methods”). For greater certainty, all qualifying activity under the Additional Entry Methods during the Full Entry Window shall be included in the Entrant’s total number of entries, even if such activity occurs prior to Entrant’s completion of the Registration.
Maximum of ninety-nine thousand five hundred (99,500) entries per Entrant under the Additional Entry Methods, regardless of the method below and any Bonus Entries provided:
METHOD #1 - DEPOSITS/TRANSFERS: To obtain additional entries via this method, eligible Entrants will need to complete a deposit or transfer funds into any Wealthsimple account (including Chequing, crypto, registered or non-registered trade, joint, group or business account) during the Full Entry Window (a “Qualifying Funding”). Every CAD$1 (less withdrawals and/or transfers out) successfully deposited or transferred into the Entrant’s Wealthsimple account (with such transaction actually completed and funds received by Wealthsimple within the Full Entry Window) equals one (1) additional entry. For the avoidance of doubt, any such funds must be received by Wealthsimple by each Draw Closing Date (as defined below) in order to be included in the respective Draw. Deposits or transfers that are not completed prior to a respective Draw Closing Date will be added to Entrant’s entry count when such deposits or transfers complete and shall be included in subsequent Draws during the Contest Period. For the avoidance of doubt, deposits/transfers must be received by Wealthsimple by no later than June 24, 2026 at 11:59pm ET to be included in the final Week 4 Draw.
The total number of entries gained via this method will be calculated based on the cumulative amount of Qualifying Funding into Entrant’s Wealthsimple account(s) during the Full Entry Window less the cumulative amount of withdrawals and transfers made out of Entrant’s Wealthsimple account(s) during the Full Entry Window, up to the maximum allowable number of additional entries.
Deposits from entities affiliated with Wealthsimple (excluding promotional or referral bonuses, goodwill credits and transfer and ATM fee reimbursements) and transfers between the Entrant’s Wealthsimple accounts will not be considered as Qualifying Funding.
Additionally, transfers between an Entrant’s own Wealthsimple account(s), payments to an Entrant’s Wealthsimple credit card, bills, Pre-authorized Debits (PADs), any spending on the Wealthsimple prepaid Mastercard, margin debit balance withdrawals or borrowing from a portfolio line of credit account will not count as a withdrawal for the purpose of calculating Contest entries.
If Wealthsimple, as determined at its sole discretion, suspects fraudulent behaviour or gaming the system (including, but not limited to, bill payments or PADs directed to other financial institutions or accounts held by the Client elsewhere), Wealthsimple reserves the right to include such withdrawals in the calculation of total entries via this method, revise the Entrant’s Entry Tally at any time, disqualify the Entrant from participating in the Contest and to take any other action it deems appropriate, including, but not limited to, closing their Wealthsimple account(s).
METHOD #2 - REFERRALS: To obtain five-thousand (5,000) entries via this method, eligible Entrants must complete a Qualifying Referral (as defined below) during the Full Entry Window. A “Qualifying Referral” occurs when all of the following conditions are satisfied:
- The eligible Entrant has at least CAD$100 in their Wealthsimple Trade, Crypto, Managed Investing, or Chequing account at the time of the Qualifying Referral;
- The Qualifying Referee joins Wealthsimple using the eligible Entrant's unique referral link or promo code (the "Referral Code");
- The Qualifying Referee completes a qualified institutional transfer(s), crypto transfer(s) and/or deposit(s) from their existing account at a different investment institution totalling at least CAD$100 (a "Qualifying Deposit");
- The Qualifying Deposit is completed within thirty (30) days of the earlier of: (i) the date the Referral Code was applied, or (ii) the date the Qualifying Referee first made a deposit;
- The referral otherwise meets the eligibility requirements and terms and conditions set out in the Wealthsimple Referral Bonus Promotion 2026, as amended from time to time;
- The Qualifying Deposit occurs during the Full Entry Window.
Qualifying Referrals must not involve unsolicited mass communications, spam or any other form of non-compliant commercial electronic messaging.
To qualify as a Qualifying Referee, the referred individual must:
- be a legal resident of Canada;
- have a pre-existing personal, family or friend relationship with the Entrant;
- be the age of majority, or older, in their province/territory of residence at the time of participation;
- not have previously funded any Wealthsimple Trade, Crypto, Managed Investing, or chequing account;
- meet the requirements for registering for a Wealthsimple account; and
- meet the referral requirements set out above.
(a “Qualifying Referee”).
There is no limit to the number of entries via this method (up to the maximum allowable number of additional entries), so long as each Qualifying Referee is a different individual and that each Qualifying Referral satisfies the conditions set out in these Contest Rules. Each Qualifying Referral equals five-thousand (5,000) additional entries into the Contest for the eligible Entrant.
Wealthsimple does not permit referrals to be generated through spam, automated messaging, bulk messaging tools or any other improper or non-compliant methods.
If Wealthsimple, as determined at its sole discretion, suspects fraudulent behaviour or gaming the system, Wealthsimple reserves the right to exclude such referrals in the calculation of total entries via this method, revise the Entrant’s Entry Tally at any time, disqualify the Entrant from participating in the Contest and to take any other action it deems appropriate, including, but not limited to, closing their Wealthsimple account(s).
METHOD #3 - WEALTHSIMPLE PRESENTS EARLY ENTRY: To obtain five-hundred (500) entries via this method, eligible Entrants can attend or watch the Wealthsimple Presents event being held on May 21, 2026 in Calgary, AB (the “Event”), scan the QR code that appears on-screen during the Event (either in person at the Event (including via the Wealthsimple Presents truck in Calgary, AB on May 21-23, 2026), via the Event livestream or recording as linked below) and complete the online form (the “WSP Viewing Entry”). The WSP Viewing Entry can be completed either: (i) in-person at the Event (including via the Wealthsimple Presents truck in Calgary, AB on May 21-23, 2026 or related marketing materials); (ii) during the Event livestream at https://www.wealthsimple.com/en-ca/presents/takes-over/live; (iii) via marketing materials for the Event or (iv) after the Event, via the Event recording at https://www.wealthsimple.com/en-ca/presents/takes-over/live, provided that the WSP Viewing Entry is completed during the Contest Period.
Entrants who submit a WSP Viewing Entry during the Early Entry Window (May 21, 2026 at 12:00am ET to May 27, 2026 at 11:59pm ET) will be deemed to have completed the Registration Entry as of 12:00am ET on May 28, 2026, the first day of the Full Entry Window, without any further action required. Such Entrants will receive five-hundred (500) entries for the WSP Viewing Entry as of the date of completion and five-hundred (500) entries for the deemed Registration Entry as of May 28, 2026. For greater certainty, Entrants who are automatically opted in to the Contest via this provision are not required to separately complete the Registration Entry and will be treated as registered Entrants for all purposes under these Contest Rules from May 28, 2026 onwards.
Entrants who submit a WSP Viewing Entry during the Full Entry Window (May 28, 2026 at 12:00am ET to June 24, 2026 at 11:59pm ET) and who have not yet completed the Registration Entry will similarly be deemed to have completed the Registration Entry as of the date of their WSP Viewing Entry submission, and will receive five-hundred (500) entries for the WSP Viewing Entry and five-hundred (500) entries for the deemed Registration Entry, for a total of one-thousand (1,000) entries. Entrants who submit a WSP Viewing Entry during the Full Entry Window and who have already completed the Registration Entry will receive five-hundred (500) bonus entries only.
Maximum of one (1) WSP Viewing Entry per Entrant, for a total of five-hundred (500) entries under this entry method. Duplicate submissions will be void.
METHOD #4 - DIRECT DEPOSIT BOOST: Eligible Entrants who set up a qualifying direct deposit (as described below) into their Wealthsimple Chequing account will have all of their entries for the applicable Draw doubled (the "Direct Deposit Boost"). To qualify, the Entrant must have received at least one (1) qualifying direct deposit into their Wealthsimple Chequing account in either the month of, or the month immediately prior to, the applicable Draw Closing Date, up to and including the Draw Closing Date itself.
For greater certainty, the Direct Deposit Boost is assessed separately for each Draw: an Entrant who sets up direct deposit mid-Contest Period may qualify for the Direct Deposit Boost for subsequent Draws even if they did not qualify for earlier Draws. An Entrant who maintains qualifying direct deposit throughout the Contest Period will receive the Direct Deposit Boost for each Draw for which they meet the eligibility condition.
A qualifying direct deposit is a direct deposit received into the Entrant's Wealthsimple Chequing account using one of the following transaction codes:
- Payroll (codes 200-207)
- Pension (code 230)
- Federal payment (code 300)
- Canada Pension Plan (code 310)
- Old Age Security (code 311)
- PS Superannuation (code 315)
- Employment Insurance (code 318)
- Insurance (code 330)
- Provincial / local government payment (code 600)
Deposits received using transaction codes not listed above do not qualify for the Direct Deposit Boost, regardless of the nature or source of the deposit. No exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis.
For joint Wealthsimple Chequing accounts, both the primary and secondary account holders will receive the Direct Deposit Boost, provided that at least one (1) qualifying direct deposit has been received into the joint account within the applicable two (2) calendar month period.
6. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY METHODS:
Unlike the Additional Entry Methods set out above, the no purchase necessary methods do not require an Entrant to hold a Wealthsimple account or complete the Registration Entry method in order to earn entries. For greater certainty, entries earned via the no purchase necessary methods remain subject to the maximum entry limit set out in the How to Enter section of these Contest Rules.
METHOD #1 - INITIAL ESSAY REGISTRATION ENTRY: To obtain five-hundred (500) entries via the Initial Essay Registration Entry method, an Entrant must submit a unique and original essay of 100 words or more on the topic of "How I Would Grow My Wealth With One Million Dollars" online via the following link: [https://start.wealthsimple.com/to/mmefm42O] (the "Initial Essay Entry"). The Initial Essay Registration Entry (being the first essay entry submitted by an Entrant) is worth five-hundred (500) entries, which is equivalent to the entries awarded to Entrants who register for the Contest via the Registration Entry method.
To submit an Initial Essay Registration Entry, the Entrant must complete the Initial Essay Registration Entry submission via the link provided above. The Initial Essay Entrant must include their unique and original 100-word or more essay on the topic set out above and the Entrant’s full legal name, complete residential address (including city, province or territory and postal code), telephone number, age and e-mail address.
IMPORTANT: Entrants who hold a Wealthsimple account must use the email address associated with their Wealthsimple account. Entrants who do not hold a Wealthsimple account must provide a valid personal email address. The email address provided will be used to track and attribute entries to the Entrant across all submissions and to link the Entrant's essay entries with any entries earned through other entry methods (if applicable). Where an Entrant's Wealthsimple account email is provided, all entries earned across all entry methods during the Contest Period will be calculated cumulatively toward the Entrant's total entry count for each applicable Draw. The Entrant's details will be verified in order to award a Prize.
The Initial Essay Registration Entry must be submitted by 11:59pm ET on the applicable Draw Closing Date date in order to be counted toward the respective Draw. Essay Entries received after a Draw Closing Date will be counted toward the Entrant's entry total for subsequent Draws during the Contest Date. For the avoidance of doubt, Essay Entries must be received by Wealthsimple by no later than June 24, 2026 at 11:59pm ET to be included in the final Draw.
Wealthsimple reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any Entrant found to be: (i) submitting essays using multiple email addresses, names or contact details; (ii) submitting multiple essays simultaneously or in bulk, whether through automated means or otherwise; (iii) using any script, macro, bot, artificial intelligence tool, or other automated or program-assisted method to generate or submit essays; or (iv) otherwise attempting to circumvent the entry limits or submission requirements applicable to this method. For greater certainty, submissions that are found to have been generated or submitted using any automated or program-assisted means will be void regardless of whether the submissions were made under the same or different contact details.
Limit one (1) Initial Essay Registration Entry per Entrant. Multiple essays submitted together in a single submission will not be counted.
Maximum of five-hundred (500) entries per Entrant under the Initial Essay Registration Entry method.
METHOD #2 - ADDITIONAL ESSAY ENTRIES: Following submission of the Initial Essay Entry above, an eligible Entrant may submit subsequent unique and original essays using the same online form at [https://start.wealthsimple.com/to/mmefm42O] to obtain one (1) additional entry per essay submission (each an "Additional Essay Entry").
Each Additional Essay Entry must meet the same content and submission requirements as the Initial Essay Registration Entry method above. Entrants must use the same full legal name, residential address, telephone number, age and email address for all Additional Essay Entry submissions as provided in their Initial Essay Registration Entry. Submissions by the same Entrant using a different name, address, telephone number or email address than those provided in the Initial Essay Registration Entry will be void.
Additional Essay Entries received prior to a Draw Closing Date will be counted toward that Draw. Additional Essay Entries received after a Draw Closing Date will be counted toward subsequent Draws during the Contest Period.
Maximum of ninety-nine thousand five-hundred (99,500) additional entries under the Additional Essay Entry method, up to the maximum allowable entries across all entry methods.
7. ENTRY TALLY:
Each Entrant who completes the Registration Entry will be able to view a running tally of their accumulated entries via the Monthly Millionaire page in the Wealthsimple app (the "Entry Tally"). The Entry Tally is provided for informational purposes only and may not reflect real-time entry counts. Additionally, entries accumulated via the Initial Essay Registration Entry and Additional Essay Entry methods will not be displayed in the Entry Tally (as such Entrants are not required to have a Wealthsimple account) but will be included in the applicable Draw in accordance with these Contest Rules. Notwithstanding the foregoing, to the extent an Entrant enters the Contest via the Registration entry method and also submits essays under the Additional Essay Entry methods, such entries shall be recorded in Entrant’s Entry Tally.
Wealthsimple reserves the right to verify, adjust and make the final determination regarding the number of entries allocated to any Entrant at any time, in its sole discretion and in accordance with the Contest Rules. Wealthsimple does not guarantee that all qualifying entries will be automatically reflected in the Entry Tally, and will not be responsible for any errors or omissions in the calculation or display of Entries. In the event of any discrepancy between the Entry Tally displayed in the app and Wealthsimple's internal records capturing entry data, Wealthsimple's internal records shall govern and will be treated as final and binding for all purposes, including for the purposes of the Draw. By participating in the Contest, each Entrant agrees to be bound by Wealthsimple's determination of their final entry count.
8. OPT-OUT:
Entrants may opt out of the Contest at any time during the Contest Period by selecting "Leave Millionaire" on the Monthly Millionaire page in the Wealthsimple app and following the steps described on screen (the "Opt-Out"). By completing the Opt-Out process, the Entrant will: (i) forfeit all entries accumulated during the current Contest Period across all entry methods, including any Bonus Entries awarded but not yet applied; (ii) be removed from the current Contest Period Draw pool with immediate effect; and (iii) be opted out of future Monthly Millionaire contests for subsequent Contest Periods, to the extent applicable. For greater certainty, an Entrant who has completed the Opt-Out process will not be eligible to win any Prize in the current or future Contest Periods unless they re-register in accordance with the Registration Entry requirements set out above.
9. BONUS ENTRIES:
Bonus Entries in the form of additional Contest entries are available in Weeks 1, 2, and 3 of the Contest only. In the Week 1, 2 and 3 Draws, a number of eligible Entrants (as set out in the table below) will be randomly selected to receive Bonus Entries as further set out below (each “Bonus Entries"). The number of Bonus Entries distributed and amounts available each week are as follows:
| Bonus Entry Type | Number of Entrants Drawn to Receive Bonus Entries Per Draw Week | ||
| Week 1 | Week 2 | Week 3 | |
| 100 bonus entries | 76,500 | 89,250 | 89,250 |
| 1,000 bonus entries | 76,500 | 89,250 | 89,250 |
| 5,000 bonus entries | 76,500 | 89,250 | 89,250 |
| 10,000 bonus entries | 25,500 | 29,750 | 29,750 |
Bonus Entries have no cash value and are not transferable.
Bonus Entries granted under this section will be added to the Entrant's entry total and will apply to subsequent Draws only.
Bonus Entries awarded under this section remain subject to all applicable Contest Rules, including the maximum entry limit and the Direct Deposit Boost.
IMPORTANT: Entrants who receive Bonus Entries must claim such Bonus Entries by opening the Monthly Millionaire page in the Wealthsimple app and completing the claim process by no later than 11:59:59pm ET on the 5th day following the applicable Reveal Date. Bonus Entries not claimed by this time will be forfeited and will not be awarded.
For Entrants who entered the Contest only via the Essay Entry method and do not have a Wealthsimple account, Wealthsimple, acting reasonably, will attempt to contact the Entrant via email at the address provided in their essay submission on the Reveal Date. Such Entrants must download the Wealthsimple app and open a Wealthsimple account by no later than 11:59:59pm ET on the 5th day following the Reveal Date. Bonus Entries cannot be credited to an Entrant who does not hold a Wealthsimple account, and failure to open an account by this time will result in forfeiture of the Bonus Entries.
10. PRIZES:
Grand Prizes
There are four (4) Grand Prizes available to be won during the Contest Period, one (1) per Draw week, each consisting of a cash deposit into the Winner's Wealthsimple Chequing account as follows:

Each Grand Prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, non-refundable, has no cash-surrender value and must be accepted as awarded with no substitutions. Secondary Prizes
In addition to the Grand Prizes, Secondary Prizes in the form of cash deposits are available to be won each Draw week. Each Draw week, a number of eligible Entrants (as set out in the table below) will be randomly selected to receive a cash Secondary Prize deposited into their Wealthsimple Chequing account (each a "Secondary Prize", and together with the Grand Prizes, the “Prizes”). The number of Secondary Prize winners and prize values available each week are as follows:

| CAD $200 | 9 | 13 | 13 | 53 |
| CAD $500 | 9 | 13 | 13 | 53 |
Each Secondary Prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, non-refundable, has no cash-surrender value and must be accepted as awarded with no substitutions. Wealthsimple reserves the right, for any reason and in its sole discretion, to substitute and/or modify a Secondary Prize with another prize of equal or greater value. Secondary Prizes that are not claimed within the Claim Period (as further described in the Winner Notification section of these Contest Rules) will be forfeited and will not be awarded.
No Entrant may win more than one (1) Prize per Draw, across all prize categories. For greater certainty, an Entrant may win a Prize in each Draw week during the Contest Period, provided they have not already won a Prize in that same Draw. All non-winning entries will carry forward into subsequent Draws.
11. DRAWS:
During the Contest Period there will be four (4) draws, each consisting of a single randomized draw from which all potential winners are determined (each a "Draw"). The Draw for each week will take place within twenty-four (24) hours of the applicable Draw Closing Date (each a "Draw Date"), with results revealed on the corresponding Reveal Date. The Reveal Dates as set out below are subject to change at Wealthsimple’s sole discretion and, in the event of such change, Claim Periods (as defined below) shall run from the actual Reveal Date for such Draw.
| Draw | Draw Closing Date | Draw Date | Reveal Date |
| Week 1 | June 3, 2026 at 11:59pm ET | June 4, 2026 | June 4, 2026 |
| Week 2 | June 10, 2026 at 11:59pm ET | June 11, 2026 | June 11, 2026 |
| Week 3 | June 17, 2026 at 11:59pm ET | June 18, 2026 | June 18, 2026 |
| Week 4 | June 24, 2026 at 11:59pm ET | June 25, 2026 | June 25, 2026 |
Each Draw will include all eligible entries received before the end of the applicable Draw Closing Date (as set out in the table above) that have not otherwise resulted in a Prize being awarded in a prior Draw. For greater certainty, entries earned during the Early Entry Window (May 21, 2026 at 12:00am ET to May 27, 2026 at 11:59pm ET) via Method #3 - Wealthsimple Presents Early Entry will be included in the Week 1 Draw pool and will carry forward to subsequent Draws in accordance with these Contest Rules.
For each Draw, all eligible entries received as of the applicable Draw Closing Date will be entered into a single randomized draw. Prizes will be awarded to selected eligible entrants drawn at random, with prize type and order of allocation determined by Wealthsimple, in its sole discretion.
An Entrant's total number of eligible entries for each Draw is calculated as of the applicable Draw Closing Date and includes all entries earned across all entry methods up to that point. For the avoidance of doubt, no Entrant may win more than one (1) prize per Draw across all Prize categories.
12. ODDS:
The odds of winning a Grand Prize or Secondary Prize are dependent upon the total number of eligible entries received by Wealthsimple as of the applicable Draw Closing Date.
For reference, the total number of prizes available per Draw week is as follows:
- Week 1 - 1 Grand Prize and 17,500 Secondary Prizes.
- Week 2 - 1 Grand Prize and 26,250 Secondary Prizes.
- Week 3 - 1 Grand Prize and 26,250 Secondary Prizes.
- Week 4 - 1 Grand Prize and 105,000 Secondary Prizes.
No Entrant may win more than one (1) Prize per Draw.
13. SELECTED ENTRANT NOTIFICATION AND PRIZE CLAIM CONDITIONS:
In-App and Email Notification (Wealthsimple Account Holders): Wealthsimple, acting reasonably, will attempt to notify potential Winners via the Wealthsimple app and via the email associated with their Wealthsimple account on the Reveal Date for each respective Draw, as set out in the Draws section of the Contest Rules (the “Client Potential Winner Notification”). With respect to the in-app notification, Entrants can open the Monthly Millionaire page in the Wealthsimple app and click through the reveal experience within 5 days of the Reveal Date, to determine if they have been selected as a potential Winner.
Essay Entries (Without a Wealthsimple Account): For Entrants who entered the Contest only via the Essay Entry method and do not have a Wealthsimple account, Wealthsimple, acting reasonably, will attempt to contact the potential Winner via email at the address provided in their essay submission on the Reveal Date (the “Essay Potential Winner Notification”, and together with the Client Potential Winner Notification, the “Potential Winner Notification”).
Each potential Winner must complete all steps outlined in their respective Potential Winner Notification, within the prescribed time period (the “Claim Period”), in order to be awarded the respective Prize. Potential Winners of the Grand Prize and the Secondary Prizes must correctly answer a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question and complete a Winner Declaration and Release form (the “Declaration”) in accordance with instructions set out in the Winner Notification.
The following Claim Periods and Prize deposit timelines apply:
- Grand Prizes: following the Potential Winner Notification, and within seven (7) days of the Reveal Date, Wealthsimple, acting reasonably, shall provide the potential Grand Prize Winner with instructions to complete the claim process (including the time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question and Declaration). The potential Winner must complete the claim process (including by correctly answering the skill-testing question and completing the Declaration) by no later than 11:59:59pm ET on the 30th day following the Reveal Date. If successful, the Grand Prize will be deposited into the Winner's Wealthsimple Chequing account within 30 days of successfully completing the Declaration and skill-testing question.
- Secondary Prizes: the potential Winner must complete the claim process outlined in the Potential Winner Notification by no later than 11:59:59pm ET on the 5th day following the Reveal Date. Secondary Prizes not claimed by this time will be forfeited and will not be awarded. The Secondary Prize will be deposited into the Winner's Wealthsimple Chequing account within seven (7) days of successfully completing the Declaration and skill-testing question.
In the event a potential Winner of a Grand Prize does not complete the claim process by 11:59:59pm ET on the last day of the applicable Claim Period (i.e., by no later than 11:59:59pm ET on the 30th day following the Reveal Date), or there is a return of any notification as undeliverable, or the potential Winner otherwise does not meet the eligibility or Contest requirements, they will be disqualified and Wealthsimple reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to follow the provisions and procedures referred to above relating to selection and notification of a potential Prize winner, with the necessary amendments, until a qualified Prize winner has been duly selected, or there are no more eligible entries, whichever occurs first.
In the event a potential Winner of a Secondary Prize does not complete the applicable claim process by 11:59:59pm ET on the 5th day following the Reveal Date, the Secondary Prize will be forfeited and will not be awarded. Wealthsimple is under no obligation to re-draw or re-award forfeited Secondary Prizes.
Wealthsimple is not responsible for the failure for any reason whatsoever of a selected Entrant to receive notification or for Wealthsimple to receive a selected Entrant’s response.
In order to claim a Grand Prize or Secondary Prize, the potential Winner must have a Wealthsimple Chequing Account. If, at the time of the In-app Potential Winner Notification or Essay Potential Winner Notification, a potential Winner does not have a Wealthsimple Chequing Account, they will be required to open one within the prescribed time as a condition of receiving the Prize. There are no fees associated with the creation of a Wealthsimple account.
A potential Winner who fails to open a Wealthsimple Chequing Account by 11:59:59pm ET on the last day of the applicable Claim Period will forfeit their Prize. For greater certainty, forfeiture of a Secondary Prize on this basis is final and such Prize will not be re-awarded. In the event a Grand Prize Winner fails to open a Wealthsimple Chequing account by 11:59:59pm ET on the last day of the applicable Claim Period, they will be disqualified and Wealthsimple reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to follow the provisions and procedures referred to above relating to selection and notification of a potential Grand Prize winner, with the necessary amendments, until a qualified Grand Prize winner has been duly selected, or there are no more eligible entries, whichever occurs first. There are no fees associated with the creation of a Wealthsimple account or downloading the Wealthsimple app.
14. SKILL TESTING QUESTION:
Before being declared a Winner of any Prize, the potential Winner shall be required to correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question and to sign and return the Declaration within the period specified by Wealthsimple. For the avoidance of doubt, a potential Winner who fails to answer the skill-testing question correctly on the first attempt shall be disqualified and shall forfeit any entitlement to a Prize.
15. RELEASE:
By entering the Contest, the Entrant agrees to release and to hold Wealthsimple and its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, related and associated entities, employees, directors, officers, suppliers, agents, sponsors and administrators (the “Releasees”) harmless from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind to the Entrant or any other person, including personal injury, death, or property damage, resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any Prize, participation in the Contest, any breach of the Contest Rules, or in any Prize-related activity. The Entrant agrees to fully indemnify Wealthsimple, and the Releasees from any and all claims by third parties relating to the Contest, without limitation.
Wealthsimple assumes no responsibility or liability for lost, late, unintelligible/illegible, falsified, damaged, misdirected or incomplete entries, notifications, responses, replies or any release, or for any computer, online, software, telephone, hardware or technical malfunctions that may occur, including but not limited to malfunctions that may affect the transmission or non-transmission of an entry. Wealthsimple is not responsible for any problems, failures or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, providers, computer equipment, software, e-mail, players, applications or browsers, on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, at any website or application, or on account of any combination of the foregoing or otherwise. Wealthsimple is not responsible for any injury or damage to the Entrant or to any computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading materials in the Contest. The entrant assumes liability for injuries caused or claimed to be caused by participating in the Contest, or by the acceptance, possession of, use of, or failure to receive any Prize. Wealthsimple assumes no responsibility or liability in the event that the Contest cannot be conducted as planned for any reason, including those reasons beyond the control of Wealthsimple, such as infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or corruption of the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest, the Contest website(s) and/or the Contest application(s). Wealthsimple assumes no responsibility for entries which fail to comply with the Contest Rules. Wealthsimple assumes no responsibility for any failure of Wealthsimple’s website or application during the Contest Period, including any problems or technical malfunctions of any computer on-line systems, servers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail, notification or entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, any website, any application, or any combination thereon.
Wealthsimple reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate the Contest, in whole or in part, and/or modify, amend or suspend the Contest, and/or the Contest Rules in any way, at any time, for any reason without prior notice.
16. PUBLICITY:
Unless prohibited by law, the Winner agrees that by accepting a Prize, Wealthsimple may use the Winner’s name, likeness, voice, photo, video, city of residence, biographical information, prize information and/or statements about this Contest for publicity purposes related to this Contest in any media or format whether now known or hereafter developed, including but not limited to the World Wide Web, at any time or times in perpetuity, without further compensation or notice and hereby releases Wealthsimple from any liability with respect thereto. Winner may be required to sign a document to this effect.
17. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY: All intellectual property, including but not limited to trade-marks, trade-names, logos, designs, promotional materials, web pages, source codes, drawings, illustrations, slogans and representations used in connection with the Contest are the property of Wealthsimple and/or its affiliates. All rights are reserved. Unauthorized copying or use of any copyrighted material or intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.
18. COLLECTION OF INFORMATION:
By entering the Contest, the Entrant understands and agrees that Wealthsimple will collect, use and disclose their personal information for the purposes of administering the Contest and, in anonymized or aggregated form, to analyze and improve Wealthsimple’s product and service offerings, as well as in accordance with the Privacy Policy as applicable to their Wealthsimple account. Wealthsimple’s Privacy Policy is available here. This consent for marketing communications is separate from the consent required to administer the Contest, and Entrants may enter the Contest without providing this marketing consent.
Any questions regarding Wealthsimple’s Privacy Policy or the treatment of your personal information should be directed to Wealthsimple’s Chief Privacy Officer at 400-80 Spadina Avenue, Toronto, ON, M5V 2J4.
19. OTHER CONDITIONS AND TAMPERING:
By participating in the Contest, the Entrant agrees to be bound by the Contest Rules. The Entrant further agrees to be bound by the decisions of Wealthsimple, which shall be final and binding in all respects. All entries become the property of Wealthsimple and will not be returned and no correspondence will be made with or entered into except with selected entrant(s) or as otherwise described in these Contest Rules.
All entries are subject to verification and winning a prize is contingent on fulfilling all the requirements set forth in the Contest Rules. Mass entries, automated entries, entries submitted by third parties, and any entries or prize claims that are late, incomplete, fraudulent, illegible, unidentified or delayed will be void.
By participating in the Contest, each entrant agrees that the Releasees have not made, with respect to each of their own products/services provided as a prize or part thereof (if applicable), any warranty, representation or guarantee express or implied, in fact or in law, with respect to the prize and specifically disclaim all such warranties, including without limitation, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
Wealthsimple reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any Entrant found to be:
- violating the Contest Rules;
- tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Contest, the Contest website, the Contest application or any related promotional website or application;
- using any automated, script, macro, robotic or other program(s) to enter or otherwise participate in the Contest; or
- acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE CONTEST WEBSITE, THE CONTEST APPLICATION OR OTHERWISE UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, WEALTHSIMPLE RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.
The Contest is void where prohibited by law and is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. The Contest Rules are subject to change without notice in order to comply with any applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws or the policy of any other entity having jurisdiction over Wealthsimple.
Not applicable to residents of Quebec: To the extent permitted by applicable law, all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of the Contest Rules or the rights and obligations as between the entrant and Wealthsimple in connection with the Contest shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the province of Ontario including procedural provisions without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions that would cause the application of any other jurisdiction’s laws. Invalidity or unenforceability of any provisions, in part or in full of these Contest Rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability for the remainder of the rules. The Contest Rules shall be interpreted as if the invalid or unenforceable provisions were not included, should such provisions exist.
In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of the Contest Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Contest related materials, including but not limited to the Contest entry form, or point of sale, television, print or online advertising, or from communications from Wealthsimple representatives or employees, and/or between the English and French language version of these Contest Rules, the terms and conditions of the English language version Contest Rules shall prevail, govern and control, unless otherwise prohibited by applicable law.
The total number of prizes available to be won in the Contest is limited to the number expressly stated in these Contest Rules. In the event that, due to an error relating to the entry process, verification, drawing or any other aspect of the Contest, there are more eligible prize claimants than prizes available, Wealthsimple reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to conduct a random draw among all eligible prize claimants in order to award the correct number of prizes.
Wealthsimple further reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to administer an alternate test of skill as it deems appropriate or necessary to comply with applicable law.
Wealthsimple reserves the right to correct any typographical, printing, computer programming or operator errors.
