What is the Marketplace?
The Marketplace is where you'll find deals and discounts from third-party partners, surfaced inside your Wealthsimple app. Offers are provided by the partners themselves — not Wealthsimple — and each one has its own terms.
Am I eligible?
To access an Offer, you need to be a Canadian resident, have reached the age of majority in your province or territory, and have a Wealthsimple account in good standing.
How do I redeem an Offer?
Tap "Claim" on any Offer in the Marketplace and you'll be taken directly to the partner's website or app to complete your purchase. Wealthsimple doesn't handle the redemption itself, that's all done through the partner.
Can I share an Offer with someone else?
No. Offers are intended for your personal use only and are tied to your Wealthsimple account. They can't be transferred, shared, or combined with other promotions unless stated otherwise.
My tier changed, will I get access to new Offers?
Yes. If you've deposited enough to move to a higher tier, you'll unlock any Offers available at that tier in the Marketplace. It can take up to 24 hours for your new Offers to appear, so check back if you don't see them right away.
I have an issue with an Offer. Who do I contact?
Since Offers are fulfilled by our partners, any issues with products, services, or the redemption process should be directed to the partner directly. For questions about your Wealthsimple account, we're here to help.
Can Offers be removed or changed?
Yes. Wealthsimple and its partners can update, pause, or remove Offers at any time without notice. An invitation to access an Offer doesn't guarantee you'll be able to redeem it.
How does Wealthsimple use my personal information for Offers?
Wealthsimple collects and uses your personal information to administer Offers, in line with our Privacy Policy. For questions, reach out to our Privacy Officer at privacy@wealthsimple.com.
Terms and Conditions
Wealthsimple Offers (the “Offers”)
Terms and conditions apply. The Offers are referrals to services and/or products provided by third-party service providers (the “Partners”) by Wealthsimple Payments Inc. (together with its affiliates “Wealthsimple”) via a referral network within Wealthsimple’s platform (the “Referral Network”). All Offers are made by Partners, not by Wealthsimple, and Wealthsimple disclaims all warranties and liabilities in relation to all Offers. Offers and eligibility may vary and depend on each Partner and Client tier. Wealthsimple does not endorse the Offers, products or services of the Partners and is not responsible for their quality, availability or performance. You may decline the Offer without consequence.
Eligibility. To be eligible for an Offer, Wealthsimple clients must, at the time of participation, including when the Offer (as defined below) is redeemed:
- be a new or existing Wealthsimple Chequing, Trade, Managed Investing or Crypto account (each a “Wealthsimple Account”) user, with all Wealthsimple Accounts in good standing
- for Core Clients, have a funded (min. $1) Wealthsimple Account; for Premium Clients, a minimum of $100,000 in assets under management across your Wealthsimple Accounts; and for Generation Clients, a minimum of $500,000 in assets under management across your Wealthsimple Accounts;
- be a legal resident of Canada;
- be the age of majority, or older, in their province/territory of residence; and
- meet the requirements set out below. (the “Client”).
There are no fees associated with the creation of a Wealthsimple Account. A Client can open a Wealthsimple Account by visiting https://www.wealthsimple.com/en-ca and following the instructions on how to create an account. Further details on transferring an account to Wealthsimple can be found at https://wsim.co/transfer-account.
Redemption. Offers may only be redeemed directly with the Partners and cannot be redeemed with Wealthsimple. By clicking to claim the Offer, you will be routed from the Referral Network to the Partner’s website or platform (the “Partner Website”). Wealthsimple is not responsible for the content, products or actions of the Partner Website, and your use of the Partner Website is entirely at your own risk. In order to accept an Offer, you may be required to accept the Partner’s terms and conditions, including privacy policies, which may be different from those of Wealthsimple. Partner is solely responsible for fulfilling all OffersOrders.
Currency. All currency shown in these terms and conditions are in Canadian dollars.
Collection and Use of Personal Information. By participating in the Referral Network, Clients understand and agree that Wealthsimple will collect and use their personal information for the purpose of administering the Offers and in accordance with Wealthsimple’s Privacy Policy, available here. Any questions regarding Wealthsimple’s Privacy Policy or treatment of your personal information should be directed to Wealthsimple’s Privacy Officer at privacy@wealthsimple.com or 400-80 Spadina Avenue, Toronto, ON, M5V 2J4. For information about the privacy practices related to the collection and use of personal information by the Partner(s), please contact the Partner(s) for more information.
Release. By participating in the Referral Network, Client assumes all risk of injury, illness, disease, death, or any other damage which may arise in connection with their participation in the Referral Network or receipt or redemption of an Offer. Without limiting the foregoing, Client hereby: (a) forever releases and discharges Wealthsimple and its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, related and associated entities and employees, directors, officers, suppliers, agents, sponsors and administrators of each (collectively, the “Releasees”), from and against any and all claims, actions, costs, liabilities, judgments, damages, obligations, losses, penalties, and expenses of any kind or nature whatsoever (including legal fees) (collectively, the “Claims”) in any way arising directly or indirectly out of any injury, loss, or damage that the Client may suffer as a result of, or in connection with the participation in the Offers or any promotion-related activity; and (b) indemnifies, defends and holds harmless the Releasees from and against any and all damages, loss and expenses, including legal fees, which may be suffered directly or indirectly by reason of the Client’s own negligence or willful misconduct during or in connection with their participation in the Offer or receipt or use of any Partner products or services as a result. Any Claims (including without limitation and by way of example only, product liability claims or misleading advertising claims) related to a Offer should be directed to the Partner and not Wealthsimple and without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the Client releases the Releases from all Claims and liabilities with respect to any and all Offers.
Referral Arrangement Disclosure. Wealthsimple has entered into a referral fee arrangement with certain Partners in order to display the Offers in the Referral Network, under which Wealthsimple receives a fee from such Partner for referring Clients. The names of each party entering into such referral agreement(s) and other material information are disclosed to you at the time of the referral and prior to you claiming the Offer. We have adopted policies and procedures to assist us to identify and control any conflict of interest that we may face - please refer to our Conflicts of Interest Disclosure. If a referral is made to a registrant, all activity requiring registration resulting from the referral arrangement will be provided.
General. Wealthsimple and/or Partner(s) reserve the right to cancel, amend, withdraw or restrict the Offers at any time without notice. If Wealthsimple suspects fraudulent or abusive behaviour, gaming of the system, inappropriate, offensive or derogatory language or information or a violation of these terms, as determined in Wealthsimple’s sole and absolute discretion, Wealthsimple reserves the right to remove all Offers from the Wealthsimple account(s) and take any other action it deems appropriate including, but not limited to, closing the Wealthsimple account(s). An invitation to participate in the Offers does not provide assurance that you will be able to redeem the Offers. The Offers are only valid for individuals in the location cited above that otherwise meet our eligibility requirements. The standard terms (https://www.wealthsimple.com/en-ca/legal/terms) relating to the use of Wealthsimple and any agreements that apply to the Wealthsimple account(s) each apply and are not affected in any way by the Offers.
In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of the Offers and disclosures or other statements contained in any related materials, including but not limited to the point of sale, print or online advertising, the terms and conditions of the Offers shall prevail, govern and control.
