Wealthsimple Credit Card Merchant Cash Back Boost Promotion (the “Promotion”). This Promotion is sponsored by Wealthsimple Technologies Inc. (together with its affiliates “Wealthsimple”). Promotion Period. From January 19, 2026 at 12:01AM ET to February 19, 2026 at 12:01AM ET (the “Promotion Period”).
Eligibility. To be eligible for the Promotion, the person must, at the time of participation, including when the Boost (as defined below) is awarded:
- be a new or existing Wealthsimple Self-directed Investing, Crypto, Managed Investing or chequing account user, with all Wealthsimple accounts in good standing;
- be an existing Wealthsimple Visa Infinite* or Visa Infinite Privilege* credit card (collectively, the “Credit Card”) cardholder, with all Wealthsimple accounts in good standing;
- be a legal resident of Canada;
- be the age of majority, or older, in their province/territory of residence;
- be selected and invited by Wealthsimple to participate in this Promotion;
- opt-in to a Cashback Offer (as defined below); and
- meet the requirements set out below.

Promotion Details. To participate in this Promotion, eligible Clients must opt-in to a boosted cashback offer with a participating merchant via the Wealthsimple app (each a “Cashback Offer”) and make a qualifying purchase using their Credit Card at a participating merchant during the Cashback Offer period, subject to the applicable Merchant Terms.
Qualifying transactions are purchases (excluding cash-like transactions, gift card purchases, refunds, and any applicable fees and adjustments) that: (i) are made with the Credit Card during the Cashback Offer period; (ii) are made at a participating merchant for which the Client has opted in to the Cashback Offer; (iii) post and settle on the Credit Card account; (iv) are not subsequently refunded, returned or charged back; and (v) comply with any additional requirements specified in the applicable Merchant Terms (each, a “Qualifying Transaction”).
Each Cashback Offer is funded by the participating merchant, which shall have its own terms and conditions governing their respective Cashback Offer, including exclusions, restrictions or limitations (each “Merchant Terms”). Merchant Terms are available on the respective Cashback Offer card in the Wealthsimple app and on the Promotion Help Centre page, and Clients should review the relevant Merchant Terms prior to making a purchase.
The Cashback Offer will be activated on the Client’s Credit Card upon opt-in and will remain active for the duration specified on the Cashback Offer card in the Wealthsimple app, unless withdrawn or terminated earlier by Wealthsimple in its sole discretion.
Boosted Cashback. Once a Qualifying Transaction is completed, Client will receive an increased cashback amount as set out in the Cashback Offer based on the after-tax value of the Qualifying Purchase (the “Boosted Cashback”). The Boosted Cashback amount (as defined below) will vary by merchant and will be displayed in the Wealthsimple app at the time of opt-in.
The Boosted Cashback will be earned in Canadian dollars. For Qualifying Transactions made in a currency other than Canadian dollars, the Boosted Cashback will be calculated based on the Canadian dollar equivalent using the exchange rate applied by Visa at the time the transaction is processed.
Any returns, refunds, chargebacks or adjustments to transactions will proportionately reduce or cancel the Boosted Cashback earned on the Qualifying Transaction. For the avoidance of doubt, gift card purchases will not be considered a Qualifying Transaction under this Promotion.
All other terms and conditions associated with the Credit Card apply. This Promotion cannot be applied retroactively and remains subject to change, at Wealthsimple’s sole discretion.
Cashback Stacking. Where an existing Cash Back Boost is already applied to your Wealthsimple Credit Card, this Credit Card Merchant Cash Back Boost Promotion will apply on top of that boost.
Cashback Redemption. Boosted Cashback earned under this Promotion can be redeemed as soon as the Qualifying Transaction is settled or up to ten (10) years after the Qualifying Transaction is settled. Boosted Cashback can be redeemed directly in the Wealthsimple app. Boosted Cashback can only be deposited into the Client’s Wealthsimple chequing, TFSA, RRSP, or non-registered accounts. Joint accounts, RESPs, LIRAs, RIFs, Registered Save, group/employer and private investment accounts are not eligible for redemption. There is no minimum amount required to redeem. If a refund is processed after the Boosted Cashback credit is redeemed, the amount will be deducted from the Client’s cashback rewards balance.
There are no fees associated with the creation of a Wealthsimple Account. A Client can open a Wealthsimple Account by visiting https://www.wealthsimple.com/en-ca and following the instructions on how to create an account. Further details on transferring an account to Wealthsimple can be found at https://wsim.co/transfer-account. Refunds. If a refund is processed after the Boosted Cashback credit is redeemed, the amount will be deducted from the Client’s cashback rewards balance. Tax Implications. There are tax implications to promotions of this nature in most instances. Please consult with an accountant or tax professional for additional guidance. Wealthsimple will not be issuing clients a tax slip to report any value derived from the Boosted Cashback. Clients are solely responsible for any required tax reporting. Combinability. Unless specified in the terms of other promotions, this Promotion can be combined with other offers or promotion codes. Currency. All currency shown in these terms and conditions are in Canadian dollars.
Release. By participating in the Promotion, Client assumes all risk of injury, illness, disease, death, or any other damage which may arise in connection with their participation in the Promotion. Without limiting the foregoing, client hereby: (a) forever releases and discharges Wealthsimple and its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, related and associated entities and employees, directors, officers, suppliers, agents, sponsors and administrators of each (collectively, the “Releasees”), from and against any and all claims, actions, costs, liabilities, judgments, damages, obligations, losses, penalties, and expenses of any kind or nature whatsoever (including legal fees) in any way arising directly or indirectly out of any injury, loss, or damage that the Client may suffer as a result of, or in connection with the participation in the Promotion or any promotion-related activity, including the posting of the Boosted Cashback to their Credit Card and subsequent use of the value derived from the Boosted Cashback; and (b) indemnifies, defends and holds harmless the Releasees from and against any and all damages, loss and expenses, including legal fees, which may be suffered directly or indirectly by reason of the Client’s own negligence or willful misconduct during or in connection with their participation in the Promotion.
General. Wealthsimple reserves the right to cancel, amend, withdraw or restrict the Promotion or any individual Cashback Offer at any time without notice and for any reason. Wealthsimple is the sole arbiter of these rules and any other issue arising under the Promotion. If Wealthsimple suspects fraudulent or abusive behaviour, gaming of the system, inappropriate, offensive or derogatory language or information or a violation of these terms, as determined in Wealthsimple’s sole and absolute discretion, Wealthsimple reserves the right to remove all promotions from the Wealthsimple account(s) and take any other action it deems appropriate including, but not limited to, removing any benefit derived from the Boosted Cashback or closing the Wealthsimple account(s). This Promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional offer, unless specified herein. An invitation to participate in this Promotion does not provide assurance that you will be accepted as a customer of Wealthsimple.
