New Wealthsimple Chequing account clients or existing Chequing account clients that had never previously funded their Chequing account can register for this offer from May 7, 2025 to June 7, 2025 through an invite found in your Wealthsimple account (iOS/Android app or web).

Does my funding need to come from an external source?
Transfers between your existing Wealthsimple accounts will not be considered. All funding must come from external sources to qualify for the $15 bonus.
When must I complete the bill payment or pre-authorized debit?
You must set up and complete a PAD or pay a bill within your 30-day qualification period to qualify for the $20 bonus.
What are the direct deposit requirements for the bonus?
You need to set up reoccurring direct deposits totalling at least $1,000 within your qualification period, with funds received within 30 days after the period ends to qualify for the $40 bonus.
When will I receive my bonus?
Bonuses will be deposited into your Chequing account within 30 business days after your qualification period ends.
Can I withdraw my bonus right away?
No, you must keep the bonus in your Wealthsimple account(s) and maintain a funded chequing account for 180 days after receiving the bonus, or it may be deducted from your withdrawal.
Terms and Conditions
Wealthsimple Chequing Discovery Promotion (the "Promotion")
This Promotion is sponsored by Wealthsimple Technologies Inc. (together with its affiliates "Wealthsimple").
Promotion Period. From May 7, 2025 at 12:01AM ET to June 7, 2025 at 11:59PM ET (the "Promotion Period").
Qualification Period. The qualification period begins at 12:01am ET on the day of the Client's first registration of the Promotion and ends thirty (30) days after at 11:59pm ET (the "Qualification Period").
Eligibility. To be eligible for the Promotion and to receive a Bonus, the person must, at the time of participation, including when the Bonus is awarded:
- be a new Wealthsimple chequing account ("Chequing Account") client or an existing Chequing Account client that had never previously funded their Chequing Account, with all other Wealthsimple accounts in good standing;
- be a legal resident of Canada;
- be the age of majority, or older, in their province/territory of residence; and
- meet the requirements set out below (the "Client").
Qualifying Action. To participate in the Promotion, eligible Client must perform certain qualifying actions during the Qualification Period: (a) opening a Chequing Account during the Promotion Period if Client does not already have one and fund at least CAD$1 to the Chequing Account; (b) setting up and completing a pre-authorized debit or paying a bill; and/or (c) setting up a recurring direct deposit(s) totalling at least $1,000 every 30-day period and have the amount land in the Chequing Account during the Qualification Period (each, a "Qualifying Action"). For greater certainty, transfers between the Client's existing Wealthsimple accounts will not be considered a Qualifying Action. For direct deposits to be considered a Qualifying Action, the total qualifying amount must be received by Wealthsimple within thirty (30) days after the end of the Client's Qualification.
There are no fees associated with the creation of a Chequing Account. A Client can open a Chequing Account by visiting https://www.wealthsimple.com/en-ca and following the instructions on how to create an account.
Bonus. A cash bonus will be available to qualified Clients that successfully performed a Qualifying Action in accordance to the below (each, a "Bonus"):

This Bonus is non-transferrable, and cannot be applied retroactively. The Bonus remains subject to change, at Wealthsimple's sole discretion. Maximum one (1) Bonus per Qualifying Action per Client.
Currency. All currency shown in these terms and conditions are in Canadian dollars.
Application of Bonus. Once the Qualifying Action is satisfied, the Bonus will be applied to the Client's Chequing Account within thirty (30) business days after the end of the Qualification Period. All Wealthsimple account(s) must be in good standing at the time the Bonus is applied.
Tax Implication. There are tax implications to bonuses of this nature in most instances. Please consult with an accountant or tax professional for additional guidance. Wealthsimple will not be issuing clients a tax slip to report Bonuses paid to a non-registered account. Clients are solely responsible for any required tax reporting.
Combinability. Unless specified in the terms of other promotions, this Promotion can be combined with other offers or promotion codes.
Hold Period. Clients who receive a Bonus must keep the Bonus in their Chequing Account (or another Wealthsimple account) and maintain a funded Chequing Account for one-hundred and eighty (180) days from the day the Bonus is applied or the Bonus may be deducted from their final withdrawal amount or otherwise recovered by Wealthsimple.
Release. By participating in the Promotion, Client assumes all risk of injury, illness, disease, death, or any other damage which may arise in connection with their participation in the Promotion. Without limiting the foregoing, client hereby: (a) forever releases and discharges Wealthsimple and its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, related and associated entities and employees, directors, officers, suppliers, agents, sponsors and administrators of each (collectively, the "Releasees"), from and against any and all claims, actions, costs, liabilities, judgments, damages, obligations, losses, penalties, and expenses of any kind or nature whatsoever (including legal fees) in any way arising directly or indirectly out of any injury, loss, or damage that the Client may suffer as a result of, or in connection with the participation in the Promotion or any promotion-related activity, including the posting of the Bonus in their Wealthsimple account and subsequent use of the Bonus; and (b) indemnifies, defends and holds harmless the Releasees from and against any and all damages, loss and expenses, including legal fees, which may be suffered directly or indirectly by reason of the Client's own negligence or willful misconduct during or in connection with their participation in the Promotion.
General. Wealthsimple reserves the right to cancel, amend, withdraw or restrict the Promotion at any time without notice. Wealthsimple is the sole arbiter of these rules and any other issue arising under the Promotion. If Wealthsimple suspects fraudulent or abusive behaviour, gaming of the system, inappropriate, offensive or derogatory language or information or a violation of these terms, as determined in Wealthsimple's sole and absolute discretion, Wealthsimple reserves the right to remove all promotions from the Wealthsimple account(s) and take any other action it deems appropriate including, but not limited to, removing the Bonus(es) or closing the Wealthsimple account(s). This Promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional offer, unless specified herein. An invitation to participate in this Promotion does not provide assurance that you will be accepted as a customer of Wealthsimple. This Promotion is only valid for individuals in the location cited above that otherwise meet our eligibility requirements.
