What is the Promotion?
The Wealthsimple iPhone 15 promotion (the “Promotion”) is open to Wealthsimple clients who deposit or transfer at least $100,000 into their Wealthsimple Self-Directed Investing, Managed Investing, Crypto, Save, or Cash account from November 1, 2023, at 12:01 a.m. ET to December 15, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. ET (the “Promotional Period”). Wealthsimple will mail one iPhone 15 or iPhone 15 Pro (depending on which one the client is eligible for) to the client’s chosen address. To be eligible, deposits and transfers must be received from a third party not affiliated with Wealthsimple.
Reward
The reward is based on cumulative eligible transfers or deposits made that have also satisfied the Promotion requirement:

All amounts shown are in Canadian dollars. Deposits and transfers must be received from a third party not affiliated with Wealthsimple to be eligible. Eligibility for the Reward will be calculated based on cumulative deposits plus transfers into your Wealthsimple Managed Investing, Self-Directed Investing, Crypto, Cash and/or Save accounts less withdrawals, e-transfers, and transfers out made from any Wealthsimple account throughout the Promotional Period.
For example, if you deposit $80,000 into your Wealthsimple Managed Investing RRSP, transfer $20,000 into your Self-Directed Investing account from another institution and withdraw $3,000 from your Save account during the Promotional Period, the net deposit amount used to determine eligibility for the Reward would be $97,000.
Who can Qualify?
You are only eligible to receive the Reward if you:
- Have a Wealthsimple account in good standing at the time of participation;
- Are a legal resident of Canada;
- Are the age of majority, or older, in your province/territory of residence at the time of participation;
- Register for the offer by clicking "Register now" in the email, push notification, in-app message, home page or another advertising channel, and complete the linked registration form;
- Transfer or deposit your funds from a third party not affiliated with Wealthsimple to any Wealthsimple account; and
- Otherwise meet our eligibility requirements.
You only need to activate the offer once. Eligible transfers and deposits must be made between November 1, 2023 and December 15, 2023.
This Reward is non-transferable and cannot be combined with other offers or promotion codes. It cannot be applied retroactively. Limit 1 Promotion participation per Client.
When will I get my iPhone 15 or iPhone 15 Pro?
The Reward will be mailed to the Canadian residential mailing address attached to your Wealthsimple profile within 8 weeks after the Promotional Period (timing subject to availability), or 8 weeks of your deposit or transfer being complete, whichever comes later.
Within 3-4 weeks of the promotional period ending, you will receive a confirmation email from Wealthsimple to the email address associated with your Wealthsimple profile containing a secure form where you can confirm your Canadian mailing address, colour of iPhone, and other shipping details. You will only receive this email if you have met the qualifying criteria.
All transfers and deposits must be initiated during the Promotional Period and must be completed within 60 days of the end of the Promotional Period to be eligible. A tracking number for the shipment may be provided.

Wealthsimple iPhone 15 Promotion (the “Promotion”)
This promotion is sponsored by Wealthsimple Technologies Inc. (“Wealthsimple”).
Promotion Period
From November 01, 2023 at 12:01 AM ET to December 15, 2023 at 11:59 PM ET (the “Promotion Period”).
Eligibility
To be eligible for the Promotion, the person must:
- Have a Wealthsimple account in good standing at the time of participation;
- Be a legal resident of Canada;
- Be the age of majority, or older, in their province/territory of residence at the time of participation; and
- Meet the requirements set out below. (the “Client”)
Wealthsimple reserves the right to exclude the Client from participating in the Promotion if Wealthsimple suspects fraudulent or abusive behaviour, gaming of the system, inappropriate, offensive or derogatory language or information or a violation of these terms, including but not limited to Client making a large withdrawal prior to participating into the Promotion in order to receive a larger Reward.
Qualifying Action
To participate in the Promotion, eligible Clients must activate the offer by submitting the linked Typeform survey from the Promotion invitation, then initiate deposits from a third-party financial institution or institutional transfers from their existing investment account at a different investment institution of at least $100,000 into a Wealthsimple Self-Directed Investing, Managed Investing, Crypto, Save, or Cash account (each a “Promotion Account”) during the Promotion Period. There are no fees associated with the creation of a Promotion Account. A Client can open a Promotion Account by visiting https://www.wealthsimple.com/en-ca and following the instructions on how to create an account. Transfers or deposits received from entities affiliated with Wealthsimple are not eligible. If the Client’s Promotion Account is a joint account or Spousal RRSP, only the primary account holder will be considered the Client for the purpose of this Promotion, and any transfers or deposits to the Promotion Account made by the secondary account holder will count towards the Net Funding Amount (as defined below) for the primary account holder. For greater certainty, secondary account holder will not be eligible for a Reward.
All transfers and deposits must be completed within 60 days of the end of the Promotion Period to be eligible.
Reward
The reward is based on the cumulative transfers and deposits amount into the Promotion Account less withdrawals or transfers made from any Wealthsimple account during the Promotion Period (“Net Funding Amount”) in accordance to the chart below:

All amounts are shown in Canadian dollars. For greater certainty, transfers made between Client’s Wealthsimple account will not affect the Net Funding Amount.
Other specifications of the Reward are subject to availability. Wealthsimple reserves the right to substitute the specifications of the Reward if the Client’s preferred specifications are not available. Wealthsimple is not responsible for any costs associated with using the Reward. Limit of one (1) Reward per Client. The Reward is non-transferrable and cannot be combined with other offers or promotion codes and cannot be applied retroactively.
Delivery of Reward
The Reward will be sent within 8 weeks following the end of the Promotion Period, or 8 weeks after the Net Funding Amount is received, whichever is later. Eligible Clients will receive a communication to verify specification of Reward and mailing address. Once a Client confirms the specification preference, the specification may not be changed. If a Client fails to respond to the aforementioned communication by the specified period, the specification will be chosen by Wealthsimple and no alterations may be made, and the Reward will be sent to the mailing address indicated in the Client’s profile with Wealthsimple. The Reward will be sent to the Client via postal mail. All Wealthsimple account(s) must be in good standing at the time the Reward is sent. No responsibility is assumed by Wealthsimple once the Reward has been shipped. Unclaimed Reward, unresponsive communication, or Reward forfeiture will not be rewarded and has no cash value. No responsibility is assumed for any delivery returned as undeliverable. Client(s) bears all risks to the Reward upon delivery. The Reward remains subject to change, at our sole discretion. Wealthsimple reserves the right, for any reason and in its sole discretion, to substitute and/or modify the Reward with another prize that is of equal or greater value.
Hold Period
Clients who receive a Reward may not spend or otherwise remove the minimum Net Funding Amount applicable to their eligible Reward out of their Wealthsimple account(s) (“Removal”) for 365 days from the end of the Promotion Period or the Reward retail value as stated in these Terms & Conditions may be deducted from their final withdrawal amount or otherwise recovered by Wealthsimple. For greater certainty, transfers between the Client’s Wealthsimple account(s), and negative fluctuations in the Net Funding Amount solely due to market conditions are not considered Removal.
Referral Bonus
A Client may also be eligible to receive a $100 bonus (the “Referral Bonus”) if the Client provides their unique Promotion referral link to a Referee (as defined below), who subsequently signs up for a Promotion Account using the referral link during the Promotion Period and have otherwise satisfied the requirements for the Promotion to receive a Reward.
The Referral Bonus is in Canadian dollars, is non-transferrable, cannot be combined with other sign-up offers or promotion codes, and cannot be applied retroactively. There are no limits to the number of referrals a Client may make. The Referral Bonus remains subject to change, at Wealthsimple’s sole discretion.
Referee Eligibility. To be considered a Referee, the referred individual must:
- be a legal resident of Canada;
- be the age of majority, or older, in their province/territory of residence at the time of participation;
- not have previously registered for or created a Promotion Account; and
- meet the requirements set out in these terms and conditions (the “Referee”).
Application of Referral Bonus
In order to receive a Referral Bonus, all of the Client’s Wealthsimple accounts must be in good standing at the time the Referral Bonus is applied. The Referral Bonus will be applied to the Client’s Wealthsimple account within 4 weeks after the Reward has been shipped to the Referee.
If the Client has more than one funded account at the time the Referral Bonus is applied, it will be applied in the following order of priority:
- Wealthsimple Cash account
- Non-registered or personal Wealthsimple Managed Investing account
- Non-registered or personal Wealthsimple Self-directed Investing account
- Wealthsimple Crypto account
- Wealthsimple Managed Investing TFSA account
- Wealthsimple Self-directed Investing TFSA account
- Wealthsimple Managed Investing RRSP account
- Wealthsimple Self-directed Investing RRSP account
There may be tax implications to the Referral Bonus. If the account which the Referral Bonus will be applied to is a RRSP or TFSA account, the Referral Bonus will be reported by Wealthsimple as a contribution to CRA. You are required to review your available contribution room prior to making a contribution to your registered account. Any excess contribution penalties that arise from a contribution are solely the responsibility of you, the client. If you require tax advice, please contact your personal tax advisor.
No Recommendation
The Referral Bonus shall not constitute a solicitation of the security or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold the security. Wealthsimple Self-directed Investing and Crypto do not provide investment advice and do not hereby recommend any security, crypto or transaction. There is no requirement that you purchase any security or asset with the Referral Bonus.
Referral Arrangement Disclosure
During the Promotion, participants are effectively entering into a referral arrangement with Wealthsimple, whereby Wealthsimple will apply a Referral Bonus into the Referrer’s Wealthsimple Account in accordance with these terms and conditions. The names of each party entering this agreement are disclosed on the application at the time of the referral. We have adopted policies and procedures to assist us to identify and control any conflict of interest that we may face. If a referral is made to a registrant, all activity requiring registration resulting from the referral arrangement will be provided.
Release
By participating in the Promotion, Client assumes all risk of injury, illness, disease, death, or any other damage which may arise in connection with their participation in the Promotion. Without limiting the foregoing, client hereby: (a) forever releases and discharges Wealthsimple and its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, related and associated entities and employees, directors, officers, suppliers, agents, sponsors and administrators of each (collectively, the “Releasees”), from and against any and all claims, actions, costs, liabilities, judgments, damages, obligations, losses, penalties, and expenses of any kind or nature whatsoever (including legal fees) (collectively, the “Claims”) in any way arising directly or indirectly out of any injury, loss, or damage that Client may suffer as a result of, or in connection with the participation in the Promotion or any promotion-related activity, including the use of the Reward; and (b) indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Releasees from and against any and all damages, loss and expenses, including legal fees, which may be suffered directly or indirectly by reason of the Client’s own negligence or willful misconduct during or in connection with the participation in the Promotion.
General
Wealthsimple reserves the right to amend, withdraw or restrict the promotion at any time without notice. Wealthsimple is the sole arbiter of these rules and any other issue arising under the promotion. If Wealthsimple suspects fraudulent or abusive behaviour, gaming of the system, inappropriate, offensive or derogatory language or information or a violation of these terms, Wealthsimple reserves the right to remove all promotions from the Wealthsimple account(s) and take any other action it deems appropriate including, but not limited to, removing the Reward retail value from the Wealthsimple account(s) or closing the Wealthsimple account(s). Frequently asked questions
Can I choose the colour of the iPhone 15 or iPhone 15 Pro?
Yes! Within 3-4 weeks of the promotional period ending, you will receive an email confirming your eligibility for an iPhone 15 or iPhone 15 Pro. In that email, you’ll find a link to a form where you can confirm your desired Canadian mailing address and choose the colour of your iPhone. Once a colour is selected, it cannot be changed.
If you do not respond to the email confirming your address and colour within eight weeks of receiving the email, the iPhone will be delivered to the address as noted in your Wealthsimple profile, and the colour of the iPhone will be chosen for you.
Can I receive two iPhone 15s if I deposit $200,000?
There is a limit of one iPhone per client.
Can I upgrade my iPhone 15 or iPhone 15 Pro using cash?
You will receive the listed reward based on the qualifying amount you deposit or transfer during the promotional period. At this time, we cannot upgrade your iPhone 15 or iPhone 15 Pro.
Can I get a cash alternative instead of the iPhone?
The promotional offer reward is for either the iPhone 15 base model ($100k deposit) or the iPhone 15 Pro ($200k deposit) as outlined in the Terms and Conditions. No cash equivalent can be paid out instead of the iPhone.
How can I change the address to which the iPhone is shipped?
iPhone will ship to the mailing address attached to your Wealthsimple profile (please refer to our Help Centre article on updating your personal information). iPhones can only be shipped within Canada.
If your address is a PO box, please update your address on the Wealthsimple mobile app. We will do our best to ship to the PO Box address on file, but we can not guarantee delivery. The carriers used by Apple's fulfillment centre, Fed-Ex and UPS, may not deliver to a PO Box managed by Canada Post. If there are any issues once the reward is shipped, please get in touch with the carrier directly.
I haven't received the email to select the colour of my iPhone. What should I do?
Please don't worry, if you are registered for the iPhone promotion and have the required net deposits to qualify for an iPhone, you will receive an email from Wealthsimple up to 4 weeks after the promotion deadline confirming your qualification. We appreciate your patience as we work to ensure every eligible client receives their confirmation and colour selection email.
I may not be available for the delivery of iPhone. What are my options?
Please use the tracking number provided to manage your delivery and sign up for delivery notifications. You can also redirect your incoming package, hold it at a location, or add delivery instructions directly through the carrier using your tracking number.
For orders shipped Monday through Thursday, tracking information should be available 12 to 24 hours after shipping on the carrier sites. For orders shipped Friday through Sunday, tracking information should be available on the carrier sites by Monday evening.
How do I qualify for this offer?
You can qualify for our iPhone 15 or iPhone 15 Pro promotion by:
1. Submitting your registration in the email invitation, in your Rewards Centre within the Wealthsimple iOS or Android app (double check that you're on the newest version of the app), or via wealthsimple.com/iphone. You can register anytime during the promotional period (between November 1, 2023 and December 15, 2023).
2. Depositing and transferring (either at once, or as multiple transactions) $100,000 or more between November 1, 2023 and December 15, 2023. Clients who initiate deposits or transfers from third-party institutions of $100,000 or more qualify for an iPhone 15, and those who initiate deposits or transfers from third-party institutions of $200,000 or more qualify for an iPhone 15 Pro.
How can I confirm that I've registered?
When you register, you will receive either an email to the email address associated with your Wealthsimple profile or an in-app message confirming your participation in the promotion.
Do deposits/transfers need to be completed during the promotional period?
Deposits/transfers need to be initiated between November 1, 2023 and December 15, 2023. If deposits or transfers are initiated before November 1, and those funds land during the promotional period, they will not qualify. If deposits or transfers are initiated between November 1, 2023 and December 15, 2023 and do not settle prior to December 15, 2023, they will qualify if they settle within 60 days of the promotional period ending.
Does withdrawing and then re-depositing funds count?
Any withdrawals made between November 1 and December 15 will reduce your total net deposits.
Put simply, you have to keep your net deposit balance (the money already in your account before the promo started) PLUS an additional $100,000 or $200,000, depending on which bonus you qualify for. And you have to keep the threshold amount in your account for 12 full months.
For example, if you already have $50,000 in your accounts, then deposit $125,000 to qualify for an iPhone 15, your account balance would be $175,000. For 12 months, you wouldn’t be allowed to bring your balance lower than $150,000 — the amount you had before the promotion started, plus the minimum required to get your iPhone.
What account types are eligible?
All Wealthsimple accounts across all products are eligible for funding including Cash, Crypto, Managed Investing, Save, and Self-directed Investing.
Eligible account types include: Non-registered, TFSA, FHSA, RESP, RRSP, RRIF, LIRA, LIF, Group RRSP, Corporate/Business accounts, Joint, Spousal RRSP, and all pension-related accounts. For more information about the various account types we offer, please see our accounts page.
Do multiple deposits/transfers count towards my net deposit total?
Yes! Multiple deposits or transfers from third-party accounts count towards your net deposit total. Net deposits are calculated by adding up the total amount of money you deposit or transfer into all of your Wealthsimple accounts (including Managed investing, Stocks & ETFs, Crypto, Cash and Save accounts). Your net deposits will not decrease if the value of your portfolio decreases due to market fluctuations. However, your net deposit will decrease if you withdraw, spend, or transfer funds from your accounts.
How long must my deposits and transfers stay in my Wealthsimple accounts?
Deposits and transfers that correspond with the qualifying threshold (either $100,000 or $200,000) must stay in your Wealthsimple account(s) for 365 days starting from the end of the promotional period.
For example, if a Wealthsimple client has $50,000 on November 1, 2023, and they deposit $125,000 to qualify for an iPhone 15, their new net deposit balance is $175,000. The client must maintain a minimum net deposit balance of $150,000 for one year after the promotional period ends or risk having the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of their iPhone recovered from their account.
Does it matter when I register?
You may register at any point during the promotional period (between November 1, 2023 and December 15, 2023).
I did not receive an iPhone 15 or iPhone 15 Pro. Why not?
You may not have received the iPhone due to several reasons:
1. You did not reach the $100,000 or $200,000 minimum thresholds to qualify for an iPhone 15 or iPhone 15 Pro.
2. You withdrew funds between November 1, 2023 and December 15, 2023 which brought your qualifying net deposits below the minimum qualifying threshold.
3. You did not register for the offer.
What if I have questions about my iPhone 15 or iPhone 15 Pro?

I qualified for an iPhone but didn’t receive it. What do I do?
Please allow up to eight (8) weeks after the promotion ends for your iPhone 15 or iPhone 15 Pro to arrive. If you still have not received your iPhone, please double-check that you deposited a qualifying amount during the promotional period. Additionally, you can manage your delivery with the tracking number provided to you. If you have additional questions, contact our Client Success team.
Am I able to share the email invitation with a friend or family member?
The email invitation sent to you is unique to you. If a friend or family is interested in registering for the promotion and they were invited to participate, they can register via the Rewards Centre in their Wealthsimple iOS or Wealthsimple Android app (make sure to have the latest version of the app), or via wealthsimple.com/iphone.
Can I “household” or pool deposits together?
No, at this time, deposits into a joint account or Spousal RRSP will only count toward the eligibility of the primary account holder (the client who first opened the account). For greater clarity, if a secondary account holder deposits into an account in which they are not the primary account holder, those deposits or transfers will count towards the primary account holder’s eligibility.
I’ve been a long-time client/customer of Wealthsimple. Why is this offer on new deposits only?
